Shaunessy first met all the wonderful Circle X folks back in 2011 when he staged managed a monthly show called Freak Machine. He recently rekindled his affair with Circle X by Stage Managing Trevor. Shaunessy is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and holds a BFA in Theatre Directing from Millikin University; most recently in Los Angeles he directed Private Eyes, Home, and Sinatra. He is also a company member at Sacred Fools Theater Company and served as a Technical and Event Coordinator for The LA LGBT Center for five years. Shaunessy has freelanced at multiple spaces including: The Getty Villa, LACMA’s Bing Theatre, The Zephyr Theatre, The Marilyn Monroe Theatre, and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts among others. PSM/AD: selected shows include: The Sonneteer; The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later; The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?; Helen; and Deathtrap – winner of the 2013 LA Weekly’s Theatre Award for Revival Production of the Year, Directed by Ken Sawyer. PSM: selected shows include: Trevor starring Laurie Metcalf and Jimmi Simpson; Girls Talk directed by Roger Kumble, starring Brooke Shields; and The Normal Heart’s 25th anniversary production directed by Joel Grey. Production Office: The Informant directed by Steven Soderberg. Shaunessy worked as an extras casting director for Rich King Casting on over 30 films, TV shows, and commercials including State of Play, Unthinkable, Like Crazy, and Oscar winning film The Fighter. He recently finished a two-year stint as the DreamWorks Area Production Manager for the design team of Motiongate, a theme park based on movie studios being built in Dubai.
