Camille Schenkkan has been with Circle X Theatre Co. since her internship in 2004, and served as Development Director until transitioning to Managing Director in 2013.
In the daytime (plus some evenings and weekends), Camille is the Program Manager for Next Generation Initiatives at Center Theatre Group. She also worked at Arts for LA, the regional advocacy organization for Los Angeles County. She is passionate about mentorship and professional development for theatre professionals, and is an alumna of the California State Summer School for the Arts, Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program, and Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles. She sits on the Advisory Board for Emerging Arts Leaders/LA and co-chaired the National Emerging Leader Council through Americans for the Arts from 2011-2013. She holds a Masters in Arts Management through Claremont Graduate University/The Drucker School. She has served as an Issue Expert for the Kennedy Center’s Alliance for Arts Education Network.
Her favorite productions have been Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, Battle Hymn and Bad Apples by Jim Leonard and all of the weird, brilliant, hilarious pages that come out of each Writers Group session.
